No posts for ages, so I've dug into the archive to kickstart myself again, I am definitley out & about in the next few days trying to get a few new shots! Meanwhile I've posted this one which is a detail shot of a tableau showing Pottery workers performing many skills all but lost to the Potteries now. It is one of several that decorate the front of the Wedgwood Institute in Burslem, Stoke on Trent. Not a spectacular composition but I think an interesting close up of something most people in the town probably take for granted as they walk past it daily. As I say more to come soon !

Probably the most photographed and well known building in Liverpool. It is located at Pier Head and stands proud and majestic against the skyline of Liverpool and the riverfront. The building is made of reinforced concrete and was the first large scale building of its type. It was built in 1911 for the Royal Liver Friendly Society.

One of Anthony Gormley's cast iron figures, part of the 'Another Place' installation at Crosby near Liverpool. Saturation & sharpening applied in 'Picassa 2' - There are lots of samples from this installation on my hard drive so expect a few more once I can afford Adobe Photoshop Elements !!! Please visit Anthony Gormley's website, I love his work. His art connects with people by becoming part of their environment ... they are able to interact with it without the pretension that art often attracts ...... Anthony Gormley Post Script: Voted 5th in Urban75's September Photo comp ! http://www.urban75.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=176261
